Lecture on Intellectual Property Rights and Patent, Startup and MSME Act and Formulation of Business Plan organized by Punjab Agri Business Incubator(PABI) at Skill development Centre.
     Lecture on IPR and patents was organized by Punjab Agri Business Incubation (PABI) under the Agripreneurhip Orientation and Incubation Programme at Skill Development Centre, PAU, Ludhiana at 11.9.2019. Under the Intellectual Property and Patents lecture was delivered by prominent scientist Dr. Usha Nara, Deptt. og Plant Breeding & Genetics. In the lecture different aspects of the Intellectual Property Rights were covered like patents, copyrights, trademarks, Industrial Designs, Geographical Indicators and Biological Diversity. The incubatees were trained for searching patents on Google patents and how they can apply for the patents. The second lecture was on the Startups and MSME which was delivered by Mr. Kundan Lal and Mr. R.K. Parmar, Asst. Directors, Micro Small Medium Enterprises Development Institute, Ludhiana. Mr. Kundan Lal briefed about the MEME, DI activities, its role in making enterprises, classification of different types of Units (Micro, Small, Medium), Registration under Udyog aadhar and Samadhan portal. Mr. M.K. Parmar encourage the incubatees how they can get the funding , utilization and different funding scheme of Government of India. Mr Parmar guided the incubatees to work in focused and disciplined manner so that they can evolve into good business model. Mr Parmar also briefed about the different training programme to be done by MSME-DI in near future. Lecture on Formation of Business Plan was delivered by Charted Accountant Mr Karanjot Singh Khurana who has an experience of guiding startups and he is graduate in Taxation Laws. He mentored the incubatees for developing their business plans on idea stage and seed stage in different field. He also guided them in defending their investment plan for funding agencies. At the end of sessions Team PABI thanked the experts for giving their valuable time and sharing their experiences with incubatees.
